Overall, the month wasn’t too bad, but it was disappointing for a few reasons. Its inclusion here, however, is more noteworthy when contrasted with the PS Plus free games of October 2021. Although many are geared up and looking forward to NetherRealm’s next game, which is likely to be Mortal Kombat 12 instead of Injustice 3, the sheer quality of Mortal Kombat 11 cannot be understated. One of those games, which is not all too surprising, is Mortal Kombat 11. Hopefully, this all changes with the PS Plus games in June 2022, as the service is set to launch the PS Plus Extra and Premium Tiers. It seems the PS Plus free games have been playing tug of war by offering a good, decent month and then a disappointing month. With 2022 thus far, it’s been a mixed bag. It would, of course, begin to slow down, and while PS Plus began 2021 with a bang, it seems safe to say it ended on a whimper. It was still riding the high it received from the PS5 release in 2020, with several good games, PS5 games, and more gracing the service in these months. For the first half or so of 2021, PS Plus was on a hot streak.
